Ideas Please

You may wonder how I've managed to bring this upon myself but, unless anyone more capable volunteers, I am probably going to be opening Michael's nursery school fete, dressed up as a character from a fairy tale (or as something else that will delight the children). Any ideas as to who, what and how???

(I need to be unrecognisable to the children, including my own, if that is at all possible.....)!!!!!!!!

Broken shutter stops blogging! The mind boggles. (I'd be happy with sideways - I want to see this scarf!)

Hmm - I'm guessing that hiring a Marilyn Monroe dress isn't quite going to be the thing this time?

Still, there must be a costume hire place you can go and raid? (Please tell me you don't think that's cheating...)

Oh no - that's certainly not cheating. No. I'd absolutely no intention of setting to and creating a costume. I'm just not quite sure "who to be".... Snow White? Rapunzel? Problem there is they'll see my face and know it's me. So we're into teady bear costumes which could be very hot on the day....

Cinderella? Masquerade ball, so beautiful, sparkly mask will hide your beautiful, sparkly face!

Nice one - this meets with my previously undisclosed criteria of wanting to look beatiful and princess-like, as opposed to dumpy and bear-like. No offence to bears - I love them. I just... well... I just don't want to be one!

Would an Egyptian Queen work? the make up alone would change your appearance.

You might want to change gender...

How about a wooden soldier? the Mad hatter from Alice in Wonderland?
